Nope. Clearly wrong, as it both violates the spirit of the game and the majority of players seem to like the variety being only in appearance.

then dont put it in period.

100 of the same weapon found in the same location will 9/10 times have a dmg of 1-2 points difference.

NOTHING IN THIS GAME STICKS OUT.

armor is pointless and if theres no benefits to reap from it, then take it out

fissure and ascention that is

The hack-filled, bot-full diablo2 community is welcoming you back. Many uber-stats items are awaiting you there.

You are very much missing the point of the game. Please read my original posts with interview statements to back up the various points I make. Items are not the focus of the game. If you increase the stats on items to a large degree you will unbalance the game. This will make it difficult for those casual players for whome the game was also designed for. If you wish substantiate your claims, then please do! I will wait with baited breath.

Im saying if were not gonna go anywhere with these items, then theres no point having them.

It's all skills and skill-based, no need to have fissure armor and max dmg bullcrap

the game is pretty much about balance, which is why weapons have similar stats. skill is where the game differs. you dont see the hacks that you see in other games like diablo 2.

aesthetics stick out. scenery sticks out. fissure and uw are damn fun to do as they take teamwork and a long time.

this game is built on team play, not the ability to solo everything with hacked items.

also, the game is still very young as there is a lot of expansion hinted upon by the developers, not to mention they constantly update the game for us.

i'm not flaming you, but if you dont like the game you dont necessarily have to play it.

How did you come to the conclusion that I'm Shakespeare? Anyway I completely disagree. There is a point to these items, for one they act as a gold sink. Also you'll find some people enjoy a change in appearance. But IMHO these items do act as a reward to players who have played for an extended period of time. However the aquisition of such items does not put these players at such an advatage as to unbalance the game and alienate those who play the game on an infrequent basis. The game, you will find is finely balanced with regards to weapons and armour, so as to prevent such an occurence.

However you are right that the game is primarily about the skills.

Does anyone remember the days of Diablo II. When you had lots of gold and could get absolutly nothing for it except your armor repaired? Any one remember how worthless gold was? I really don't want guild wars to be like that I would like my gold to be worth something, even if that requires it to be harder to get. If you really want to think about it what is they suddenly added more euros and dollars to the economy, doesn't work now does it. Inflation ever heard of it, happens in real life too.

I thought the offical currency of Diablo 2 was Stone of Jordon (SoJ)....

Everyone had a dozen or two SoJs...

i agree completey on the jist of your statement. But im saying why would it make that much of a differnce. EVERYONE CAN HAVE FISSURE ARMOR. It just would take people longer than others, so what?

OH and you said baited breath, very shakespearian

EDIT: Ah yes, Soj's. Things you could wear that made you better....sigh
